The Santa Rosa Island Authority with the support and funding of the Florida Legislature and the Escambia County Commission built a multi-use recreational pier in the Gulf of Mexico.
This pier is 1,471 feet long and stands thirty feet above the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. At the end of the pier the water depth is approximately twenty feet deep and affords anglers of all ages and opportunity to enjoy "deep sea" fishing.
The pier is also open to the public who wish to enjoy the experience of walking over the water and enjoying a breath taking view of Pensacola Beach. A restaurant, convenience store, bait and tackle shop, public restrooms and seating area are available.
