Mr. Thornton served two years as an active duty Marine, three years in the Army Florida National Guard, and nineteen years in the Air Force Reserves before retiring as a Master Sergeant. He has an Associates of Arts in Business Administration degree from Pensacola Junior College, an Associates of Science Logistics from Career College of the Air Force, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree from the University of West Florida.
Mr. Thornton was appointed to the SRIA Board on November 22, 2022 by District 2 Commissioner Mike Kohler.
